Barangay Greenpeace 10

Barangay Greenpeace 10! is a 2-day celebration for a green and clean planet!

We can’t wait to see you on November 27 and 28.

Note:

Better late then never... ;-P

This is actually an invite (registration site) for the said event. I might go there to hopefully shoot the Rainbow Warrior ship even if it's docked from afar.

Hope to see you there! :)

UPDATE!!! (01 December 2010)
Sadly when I went to Harbour Square at around 3PM last November 27, I wasn't able to take pictures of the said Rainbow Warrior ship. I didn't see it in the nearby area.  It must probably docked near SM MOA as per the previous info I gathered. I wasn't also able to take pics of the activity on that area as I needed to immediately go somewhere else.

But a fellow photographer of our Advocacy Photographers group, Andrew Pamorada, was able to document and even granted permission to ride and wander inside & out of Rainbow Warrior. Lucky him! And I envy him!!!

Anyway, here  is Andrew's story about that experience. Images courtesy and copyrighted by Andrew Pamorada.

Blogging

I actually forgot that I had this blogsite looonnng time ago. I created this way back 2007 (March 2007 as per my profile) and was able to blog just one entry. Poor me! Hahahaha :D

Anyways, I already deleted that one & only blog entry I had and thinking of doing the frequent writing of blog entries as soon as I have the time and opportunity.

So please feel free to visit this site and hopefully be able to show you some of the places and faces that I will see with the tool of the trade that's with me, my camera. :-)

GreenEarth Heritage Foundation

Last Saturday (20 November 2010), we at Advocacy Photographers were granted privilege to go and visit GreenEarth Heritage Foundation's vast area (31 hectares) of farmland.

Upon entering the compound, you will see the sign in the picture below.

You will also see and pass this short walking bridge as there's a shallow stream underneath the bridge.
But according to Pastor Renz, that shallow stream rises up during heavy rains. This is the bridge back then.

After passing the small bridge, you will then lead to the vegetation area and some huts. Gladly on that day, they let us document the harvesting of some of their products like eggplant, patola, ampalaya, stringed beans, some leafy vegetables like alugbati, mustasa & kamote tops and some other plants they have there.

Pastor Renz Razon

Pastor Renz, together with some farmers (and some of their kids), also toured and hiked with us, for us to see some of the greenhouses (also farmers home) located in the slopes that were part of the farmland  they're  being taking cared of.

After the hike, they even prepared a hefty lunch for us and the rest of those who were in the community that time. (Sorry wasn't able to take pics of the foods ;-P)

We also had fun taking pictures of the kids who even sang for us before we leave. Here's some of them;

More from here.

If given a chance to go back there, I'll absolutely say yes! And hopefully their plight of crossing THIS RIVER will be augmented with the help from necessary government or any private institutions.
