Project Neos 2.0

This Neos 2.0 RD (rear derailleur) has been with me for quite some time since I begged (Trans: "Arbor") for it from a friend and a co-biker/co-TSP, Edward P. Santos.

Being bugged (and having almost always doing RD tuning) with the "stock" RD on my KorEnda (Enda Leo 16" folding bike) since I acquired it sometime November last year, I decided that I really need to make provisions as my Enda Leo doesn't have "drop-out" to install this or any other after-market RD.

So last Saturday (February 22), prior on my (our) ride, I passed-by to some machine shops along "Killer Highway" (Commonwealth Avenue) and look for a shop who can do the provisions I need. After dropping-by for two (2) shops, alas there's a shop who had the "special" threading bit whose diameter is almost exact with the mounting bolt of the said RD.

I was able to fix/install it the next day as I am too tired when I went home after our ride. So here goes the result;

Hopefully it holds true what it says that it's actuation is 1:1. Same with SRAM. Let's see...

Daang Hari & Digman Ride

Ride day - 22February2014
Total distance - 128.6 Kms. based on this Strava route;

While we're (with Alvin & Phi) in Daang Hari road area, we went to Fernbrook's but sadly we weren't allowed to go in...

My 11th PPG Approved Photo

This was the last update I made with the photos I submitted and being scrutinized (international voting by Pentaxians all around the world) on Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG). I forgot that I missed updating it with my 9th & 10th approved photo. But nevertheless, here it is...

I momentarily stopped using my dSLR for more than a year, I think, when I went into biking. As dSLR added more weight when you're out on the road for almost a day or so...

But sometime last January, I took my first & only dSLR for a spin around Malate area and took some snaps. Two (2) of them were submitted to the said gallery and gladly, this one gets approved.

Here's the link to the approved photo;

And my complete gallery;

Calinawan Cave Ride

http://www.strava.com/activities/112308663

Aside from my Tanay Parola (+ Tanay Cathedral) and Daranak Falls bike rides, added to my "bucket list" is this Calinawan Cave bike travel/exploration...

This time we were 6 (bike buddies from TSP namely - Alvin Lim, Angelo Amparo, Chris Alvarez, Eli "Winter Knives" Chacon, Phi Añez and myself) who conquered the scorching afternoon heat on the way to the said cave.

Original plan is to also include Daranak Falls but wasn't able to do so due to time constraint.

Again, allow me to share some snaps as we go along the way;

This bike travel not only explored what we saw on the road, rather the history behind Calinawan Cave. And surely we will go back as what our tour guide Jhepoy said, that they'll start opening levels 3 & 4 of the cave comes March.
